Lisa Lorentzen, EA - Tax Manager
Lisa is an Enrolled Agent, which is a federally licensed tax practitioner with unlimited rights to represent taxpayers before the IRS. The EA designation is the highest tax professional credential recognized by the IRS, giving the holder of this license the title of Tax Expert.
Lisa graduated from California State University, Long Beach with a Bachelor of Science in Business with an emphasis in Accounting. At one point in her career, she held Series 7 and 63 licenses.
As a Senior Tax Associate at Quellos LLC (a BlackRock Company), she was involved with managing high net worth individual’s tax planning and preparation, while working with complex tax hedging strategies to minimize or eliminate taxes. Prior to BlackRock, she worked for The Ayco Company (a Goldman Sachs Company) for the lead partner, working with Fortune 500 senior level executives in tax planning and preparation and all facets of financial planning.
Later in her career, Lisa shifted her focus to a small local tax practice where she helped small business owners and individual taxpayers with a variety of tax issues. With the practice’s heavy concentration in tax resolution, she gained valuable experience in helping clients resolve tax problems with the IRS.
In 2018, her husband began mining Bitcoin and her need to understand the complexities of cryptocurrency taxation, which led her to enroll in Sharon Yip’s mastering cryptocurrency online course.
